"From The Pastor's Heart"

The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary.

​

He wakes me up morning by morning. He awakens my ear to hear as the learned. The Lord God has opened my ears; and I was not rebellious, Nor did I turn away.

​

I gave my back to those who struck me and my cheeks to those who plucked out the beard; I did not hide my face from shame and spitting.

​

                                            Isaiah 50: 4-6

​

Many over the years have ask me why and the answer is simple. I have learned my worse day's with Jesus were better than my best days without him.

​

My life has become richly blessed because I live to be a blessing. This one thing I know, what is impossible with man, is possible with God and it is God to whom I belong and whom I serve. For with God, I'm standing on Solid Ground.

    Bishop James L. Wilson is the middle child of three born to Norma Jean and considers himself a native of Georgia since moving here from Muncie, Indiana over 40 years ago with his older sister Leah and younger brother Anthony. He attended Meadowview Elementary, Walker High before attending Indiana University. He then went on to serve in The United States Army where he continued his education through correspondent courses.


    After Bishop James L. Wilson completed his service to the Military, he then went to Devry Institute of Technology where he studied Business. He also attended Luther Rice Seminary where he studied Theology. He presently takes classes at the school of Minister of Excellence. He was ordained in 2006 to preach the gospel at Big Miller Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he attended for 21 years. Although Bishop Wilson's academic accomplishments are many and honorable in the sight of man, he believes the only one that's worthy of notation is found in Acts 4:13 where it states the apostles were unschooled, ordinary men, but because of their time with Jesus they had the ability to astonish their audience with their knowledge. Since being gifted with the abilities to Pastor and Teach, Jesus has done for Bishop Wilson the same as he did for Isaiah found in 50: 4 where it states "The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary." Morning by morning he awakens me. He awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.


    Bishop Wilson provides dynamic vision and leadership principles to establish God's kingdom on the Earth by empowering God's people. He is a multi-gifted pastor, educator, author and transformational life coach in aiding others in self-discovery, self-renewal and self-empowerment to transform their lives. He is the author of "Beyond Words Surviving Adultery Gods Way", and has been featured on Atlanta Live TV 57 and TBN. As founder and Senior Pastor of Solid Ground Christian Ministries, Bishop James L. Wilson has a very simplistic style of leading. His congregation is blessed by being a blessing.
